This concept that less is more has been coming through in people’s Akashic Records more and more frequently, and it did yet again just a few minutes ago. I was on the phone coaching someone one-on-one through the process of learning to open her Records, and they invited her to stop assuming she knows what others need.
“Simply pray to send them Divine Love” was the guidance. “Allow them to use that Divine Love in the way they are most ready, willing and able to use it. When you prescribe the light for healing, happiness, or whatever you believe they need, you risk limiting its impact. Maybe they need the light most for courage, rather than the healing you perceive. In prayer, asking for less specificity allows for greater impact. In prayer, less often is more.”
As you might imagine, sometimes people find this hard to believe. “But she has cancer,” they reply. “Surely she needs healing.” The Records have yet to disagree with that reasoning (at least through me). They do, however, build on the argument, and often the reasoning goes like this: “Yes, she needs healing, and she is healing, whether or not you, or she, or her doctors can see that happening. She also needs courage, and while in this moment she is experiencing healing, she is not able to access courage. If you send her Divine Love, she can find the courage she needs more within the love.”
In short, what we perceive in others that inspires us to pray for them may not actually be that person’s greatest need. It might simply be what captures our attention and sparks our inspiration to pray. When we know that, when we disconnect our inspiration and send Divine Love, or pray for the person’s highest and best good, we do not limit that Divine energy to our individual perceptions. We simply allow Divinity to work its magic through us.
The Earth has been sending this message to us through the Records for a while too. Last summer, a friend and I led a journey to Mt. Shasta, a sacred site in northern California about 60 miles south of the Oregon border. One of the women who had taken our Akashic classes asked if a few of us could gather and open the Records of Mt. Shasta itself. My own Records agreed with hers that we would be granted permission and access.
And what was this magnificent volcano’s strongest message? “Please, send me Divine Love. Allow me to use this energy as I see fit.” That is, of course, what we did – but not until we expressed our surprise that Mt. Shasta, in the midst of an historic drought, was not asking us to pray for water.
