Last night, on our way to dinner, we stopped at a friend’s mother’s house hoping he could find a baby picture of himself to take to his office holiday party. At this point it has been about two months since his mother passed away, and while there are a few signs that the most dear items have moved along to other family members, the house still looks and feels like a home.
“We’ve decided we’re just going to take our time with this,” my friend explained. “Everything happened so quickly with Mother. But once January first is past, we’re going to get busy.”
Then he turned to me and said, “I bet I’ll be needing a session in my Akashic Records as we go through all this.”
“I wouldn’t be surprised,” I replied. “And, I bet that if you open your Records while you are going through the closets and drawers, all kinds of things can be healed and cleared with little, if any conscious processing, if you just set that intention in the Records.”
Healing Does Not Require Pain
It’s true. One of the many things I love about working in the Akashic Records is that we can heal things without even knowing what they are, and that’s by design. It’s not cheating. Taking responsibility for our spiritual healing and growth does not require that we re-experience pain. That only happens if we haven’t learned the lesson(s), and even then, reliving the experience is not required. We simply get an inkling, just enough to allow the healing through.
And, one of the themes coming through the Records these days is to do just that. Many of us are hearing requests from our souls to open our Records and simply ask for whatever healing that would be in our highest and best interest to receive. It’s as if the Records don’t want to be limited by what we think to ask for or about. Once we place that request, we simply move into silence and stillness until we know the process is complete.
Ask, Allow Stillness, Receive
Really, that’s all there is to it. Open your Akashic Records. Ask for healing. Allow yourself to become quiet and still. And receive.
From the outside observer’s perspective, it might appear we are sleeping or meditating. But frankly, it’s more passive than that. We simply allow. We simply receive whatever our higher selves choose to send.
If needed, you can set a limit with a timer. But if you’re not on a schedule, you’ll simply find yourself coming back to the room and opening your eyes. And chances are you will have no idea of how much time has passed.
Sometimes we come back having a vague sense of what “happened,” but usually not. Often the “what” we consciously experience has more to do with what we were doing, thinking or feeling just before we began allowing the stillness. But we are quite confident that something did happen, and that the something was important. My Akashic colleague Sandira often says she thinks that entering into this stillness is the most important thing she does for herself these days, and I agree.
A Shared Field Within the Akasha
Not surprisingly, the experience seems more powerful when we enter into this process with at least one other person. That’s because we are creating a shared field within the Akasha. And, even though we know that field is non-local, in other words it is not a function of location or time, the experience seems stronger when the other person(s) is/are in the same room at the same time. As I type this, my Records are telling me that this is because we are connecting to the local heart field of the other person(s). We could choose to connect to the aspects of their heart field that are non-local and have an equally powerful experience. Won’t that be fun to try?
And sometimes, if we’ve set the intention to enter into this stillness at a certain time, which often is part of doing this with someone else, I’ll feel the process begin before we actually sit down. For example, if I am visiting Sandira, and we’ve said we want to enter into this sometime after breakfast, sometimes I will feel myself drifting into the stillness until I have no choice but to surrender. It’s as if it “comes to get me.”
If, like me, you are a friend of author Gregg Braden and his many books, you know he has been writing about this chapter in human evolution as a time of extremes. And these extremes often create great commotion on both ends of just about any spectrum I can think of. I think that’s why so many of our souls are calling us to stillness. And in this stillness, I believe our souls are planting the seeds for our next steps in our evolution, sneaking them in when we are too blissed out to resist.
