Have you ever walked into a room and thought, “This place feels terrible! I wonder what’s happened in here?” Maybe there are a couple of strangers in the far corner, lost in conversation, and even though their backs are to you, and you can’t hear them, you know it’s a challenging, heavy conversation? You’re not connected to those people, you’re not psychic and your Akashic Records are not open. So, what’s going on? Well, as we’ve said before every thought that’s ever been thought still exists. And, we humans, psychic or not, in our Records or not, are able to pick up on these thoughts. Actually, we do it all the time. Our thoughts actually spread like a virus.
Thoughts as Frequencies
We also know, from our own practical life experience, that every thought has a frequency. After all, thoughts register with us as positive, negative or somewhere in between. And sometimes a thought registers as positive, but later, the same thought will register as negative, or vice versa. Why? Because whether it registers as positive or negative depends in large part on its frequency relative to the frequency we are holding at any moment.
We’ve also experienced our own abilities to change our own frequency, often experienced as “mood,” by changing our thoughts. I bet it doesn’t take much searching to remember when someone else’s “bad” mood impacted yours as well. Perhaps that experience lead to a long string of progressively negative thoughts, and your mood worsened even more? With any luck, you soon caught yourself before spiraling too far. Hopefully you reversed the trend by thinking progressively more positively until, perhaps, you were in an even “better” mood than when this started.
So, among the many implications of this dynamic is this: Our thoughts not only impact our lives, they also have the potential to impact other people, if those people allow that to happen. Yes, it’s true: Our thoughts change the world. Sometimes it’s one person at a time, others it’s a room full. One conversation, one email, one social media post, our thoughts change the world.
Kind of makes you want to pay close attention to your thoughts, doesn’t it? Personally, I’m reminded of wisdom shared 30 years ago by an astrologer. “When you find yourself thinking like that, simply find another thought to think,” she suggested. Until then, it never occurred to me I could change, and therefore control, my thoughts. Her thought changed my life.
Transmuting Our Thoughts
I remember wishing for some sort of magic wand that would enable me to rewrite earlier thoughts. In my first Akashic Records class I learned to do exactly that. Interestingly, accessing the Records needn’t be part of the process.
How does this work? To edit or transmute our thoughts that are free-floating in the universe, all we need is pure heart’s intent (no manipulation allowed – that just won’t work, thank God). Then we simply ask for, open to and receive the grace of the Divine, asking the Divine to change our original thought to a new one, presumably of a higher energetic frequency. The energetic frequency and intensity of our desire to transmute the thought impact the field (whether we call it the quantum field or the Akashic field) and our thought is transmuted.
The Grace of the Divine
So, let’s say Bill once held the belief that all people who vote with Party X are bad. Now, however, he realizes that his belief – his pattern of thoughts — simply added to the negativity in our political system. He realizes his thoughts were actually undermining what he now thinks is important. To transmute his earlier thoughts to have a more positive impact, Bill asks for, opens to and receives the grace of the Divine. He then requests that it to change those free-floating thoughts to “Those voting with Party X are actively participating in our political system as we all have a right to.” This new thought is far less likely to generate a negative reaction in anyone who might catch it like a virus. Bill has taken responsibility for his thoughts and taken action to make his impact on humanity more positive.
And what might Bill do if last month he actually shared his earlier thought about Party X voters with his neighbor Jack, a card-carrying Party X member? Well, he might apologize. He might seek forgiveness. And this might take some courage. It might go well, and it might not. His original comments might not have gone over well either, but that didn’t keep him from saying them. Maybe that was bull-headedness. Or maybe it was the result of true courage he might find again.
This is another place where grace can help out again. Bill can ask for, open to, and receive the grace of the Divine, requesting the spiritual courage to apologize to Jack. His soul might then guide him to rehearse this apology in his head and heart. After all, Michael Jordan still talks about how he practiced each successful shot hundreds of times in his mind before he actually got the basketball through the hoop and scored.
And then, who knows? The perfect moment might arrive, and Bill’s apology might slip right out, delivered and received with grace and ease.
In this time of great public turmoil, it’s easy to think that there is nothing we can do about it but slog through. And, the message from the Akashic Records, time after time, is just the opposite. Negative thoughts and emotions triggered by the news, a family member, a work colleague or even our own internal dialog can simply be an invitation to transmute them into a higher frequency. We don’t have to let them push us down the rabbit hole of negativity. And when we do? We can always make a different choice and ask for the grace of the Divine to transmute the energies of those previous thoughts into a higher frequency.
