In all the drama around the failed “skinny” repeal of the Affordable Care Act, or Obama Care, did you have any idea we were experiencing an amazing example of archetypal feminine energy powerfully holding space for something important? Well, I didn’t.
Yes, I’d read about Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) dramatic thumbs down deciding vote on the Senate floor over night. And I knew he had flown to DC fresh from surgery in Phoenix and a serious brain cancer diagnosis.
But my Akashic Records didn’t kick in with commentary on the divine or archetypal feminine at work until later when I was buzzing through Facebook. It was a post from NC State Sen. Jeff Jackson (D-Charlotte) that caught my eye:
“GQ gets it right: ‘John McCain’s big moment mattered only because Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski were unshakeable.’ ” And it provided a link to a commentary in GQ.
Evidence of the Divine Feminine at Work
“It’s time to start watching more consciously and carefully for evidence of the Divine Feminine at work,” began my Akashic Records.
“The Divine Masculine is so much easier to notice in the 3D world because, by its very definition and nature, it creates a much sharper contrast. It arrives with action, boldness, impact. It makes its presence known,” they explained.
“The Divine Feminine, on the other hand, is much more of a presence, a beingness. It is more stealth and requires greater attention and intention to perceive.
“In its receiving, the feminine sets the stage. It creates a container and an environment within which the masculine can do, act, and create change.
“Without that hospitable container and environment created by the feminine, the masculine would have nowhere to go. There would be nothing to attract it, and, eventually it would disappear; if in fact it were able to be created at all.”
Sen. Jackson was so right. It took three Republican senators to defeat this bill, and Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) were steadfastly voting no on all the preliminary measures that set the stage, despite pressure from the White House.
Without their two votes all along, McCain’s action would have had no impact, let alone any heroic flourish. He might not even have been inspired to fly to DC and appear on the Senate floor.
My Records continued: “As you well know, for millennia, humanity often has valued the masculine over the feminine. After all, the reasoning has been, the masculine makes the biggest difference, so it must be of the greatest value.”
And here is where the Records begin to paint a more expansive picture of gender equality.
“Now that humanity is evolving beyond that ‘either/or’ mentality and into a greater understanding of the magic of ‘both/and,’ you are better able to notice and appreciate the power of the feminine.
“For you see, the feminine being and receiving are essential to the masculine doing and giving. And once you recognize how you cannot have one without the other, you can balance the two.
“In addition, you’ll no longer feel the need to measure the power or validity of the feminine approach against a male standard. Over time, the criteria will become more balanced. The children born since 2000 already understand this.”
Less Force, Less Blow Back
“As humanity learns to balance the feminine and the masculine within the process of creating, you will experience less extraneous action, less force, and therefore less unintended equal and opposite reaction — or blow back.
“You also will come to see that this is not a boys against the girls process. In fact, it has very little to do with your physical bodies, although at times over your lives, understanding and accounting for the impact of your hormones will be wise.
“No longer will women feel they need to be more like men to participate, be heard, and be successful. And, just as importantly, men will no longer need to suppress their softer traits.”
My Records went on to recognize that this process already has begun, which we already know. And, they promise they have more to say about this.
Still, I’m struck by the pleasant and illustrative irony that it was a male state senator’s post of an article in what was once known as “Gentleman’s Quarterly” that opened my eyes to the fact that two female Senators held the space for a male Senator to sweep in and save the day.
And, I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that this aspect of the story was barely noted. After all, that’s often how archetypically feminine power has worked – in the background, holding space for archetypal masculine energy to make a grand and more obvious entrance and impact. A big splash, as it were.
But I am both grateful and comforted that this change — this movement toward balance — is intensifying. And I also recognize that the more we notice and articulate the shift, the more we support it, and the faster it will manifest.
