Am I living my soul’s purpose?
I’ve always known my life purpose, and always thought I was aligned with it, but now I’m not sure. What’s happened? What is wrong with me?
These three are among the most popular questions people have been asking in the Akashic sessions I’ve facilitated in the last few months. And, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, they all center on the theme of life purpose.
For some, often those who are asking what theirs might be, the idea of their purpose of life is relatively new. Others have determined their purpose, and are checking in to see if they are on course. Yes, they are feeling uncertain, but they also are excited about something new.
Interestingly, it’s the third group that is the most troubled by their question(s). They’ve known their purpose for quite some time now, and often have made career and other life decisions in dedication to it. So now, when they no longer feel that alignment, it really rocks their world.
As the Records remind me, “When the idea of something like purpose is new, the sense of exploration and discovery can entice us through the not knowing. The prospect of expansion is inspiring.”
But when the knowing has brought focus to our lives, and even shaped our actions and identity, the thought that it may be gone, or even simply shifting – well, that understandably shakes us to the core.
Our Shared Purpose in Life
According to the Records, on some basic level, all of us share a purpose – to give our Higher Selves a physical experience of itself on Earth. We each have our individualized purposes for incarnating in addition to that.
But as physical beings who often take physicality for granted, this physical experience our Higher Selves seek can be hard to understand at first.
“Really, my Higher Self wants more physicality?” say many during their Akashic session on this topic. “Well, I want more spirituality or I wouldn’t have made an appointment with you!” they proclaim.
And that’s just what those who’ve “lost” their alignment with purpose fear the most, a loss of their spiritual connection.
Signs of Spiritual Expansion
“Yet, the arrival of all three of these questions signal major expansion,” the Records promise. “And yes, this is true even though the experience is exciting for the first two, and scary for the third.”
“For those accustomed to the spiritual connection their individual purpose has enabled, the physical experience of feeling less aligned feels like a loss, and loss often feels worse than uncertainty. Often it feels dangerous,” the Records reiterate.
“You might understand it better if we said that you’re simply taking one step backward after several steps forward, but that wouldn’t be accurate. In truth you’ve expanded beyond your former individualized purpose, but you’re not yet expanded enough to recognize and step into the higher frequencies of your new, upgraded one.”
“This is where faith becomes so helpful,” the Records reassure. “For while it feels as though you’re no longer aligned to your individualized purpose, actually, you are.
Part of the Process
The Records continue, “But a big part of you has expanded beyond it, so it no longer has the gravitas it once had. In human terms, it’s just not the big deal it used to be.”
“But, that’s OK,” they assure. “Actually, it’s perfect. It’s simply part of the process. And were it not for the loss of the certainty you once had, you’d probably find it exciting.”
So, what’s a human to do?
“Go back to the basics and appreciate humanity’s shared purpose,” the Records counsel. “Remember that your discomfort is a physical experience of the spiritual expansion both you and your Higher Self desire and have requested.”
“And have faith in the power of purpose,” they say. “It’s the same as believing in the sun when it is not shining.”
